August 8-10 2025
The longest running didgeridoo gathering in the Americas is held every summer in Oregon
This year (2025) marks our 28th annual gathering, August Aug 8-10, 2025 in Scio, Oregon. Enthusiasts from all over the world come together to share the music, history, craft, and culture of the didgeridoo.
This year we look forward to Zalem Delarbre, who has inspired a whole generation of didge performers and fans with his
innovative approach to the instrument, returning with us to Neal Creek in 2025. Zalem's association with us goes back to
the 2010s, when we were Indidjinus meeting at Prindel Creek. Since then, he has made epic music, and we’re excited to
host him once again.
Joining us from Dubbo, Australia, will be our longtime friend and mentor Lewis Burns: activist, artist, and cultural ambassador.
To our great delight, Stephen Kent will also be returning to bring us along on his unforgettable musical journeys.
Included in his program is a piece that merits special recognition:
On August 8 2023, Lahaina, the beating heart of Maui and the old Royal capital of Hawaii, was destroyed by a deadly wildfire.
Once called Lele (jump/fly), Lahaina was the historic place of reference on the island as well as a center for
commerce, culture, and entertainment. On the second anniversary of the Maui fires, Stephen Kent plays “Lahaina Story”,
the new release by The Sky is in Love With You—From the mind of One to the breath of the Other.
With your help, we look forward to bringing more international artists to Neal Creek. But we're also equally looking forward to our home-grown favorites, including Pamela Mortensen, Didge Mama Emma, Sundsaga, Will MacGavin, Enrique Ugalde, Legendary Strawberry Man, Lighthawk, and many more.
By renewing your membership (and encouraging your didge family friends to join), you can be a vital part of making our next Northwest Didgefest an event worth celebrating. The more members, the more world-class artists we can book.
And the more members, the better able we are in fulfilling our unique mission of fostering that ineffable magic we call the didgeridoo.
Last but not least, we are looking forward to YOU! You, you, and you. Recall the joy, recall the unique and amazing performances of our last gathering. We are family. The didge may call us, but it is family that keeps calling us back.
Northwest DidgeFest (sponsored by InDidjInUs) is a co-created, community organized, weekend gathering of the didgeridoo tribe. Daytime workshops are taught and some are spontaneously created on the spot, utilizing the unique collection of attendees' knowledge and inspiration to share and enjoy our time together. Evenings host music featuring some of the best musicians and didgeridoo talent in the world. NorthwestDidgeFest is unlike any event anywhere!
We focus on community building as well as enjoying, crafting, and playing the didgeridoo. Historically, we've hosted gatherings of up to 850 people for 3 days of music, camping, and workshops. The gathering facilitates the exchange of global cultural knowledge and provides opportunities to share the history, craft, musical talent, and culture of this ancient instrument.
